Google search just isn’t as good as it used to be. We are now awash in SEO and AI generated garbage that a well known “hack” has been to add the word “reddit” into your search query so you get a response written by a human.
Ed Zitron has a theory as to why Search is bad. Search became revenue led, essentially a branch of their Ads division. No wall exists between the two. Search excellency is secondary to serving adverts. When you have to search more times to find what you want, you are not getting frustrated, you are generating “query growth”.
