Well yes they’ve been a bit snippy with the media, and I don’t know any of the people at or details about Blippar, but I have some sympathy for them. You spend so much time and energy trying to will a thing from nothing into successful existence, and then to have it fail is utterly lacerating. I wouldn’t wish the experience on any of the Freetrade team (partly for selfish reasons!), though I have to admit you do learn a lot.

This is the danger with all these Billion $ startups that aren’t actually making any money yet, one of the things that attracted me to the Freetrade crowdfund was the realistic valuation (as well as it being a great idea and a product I actually wanted to use)

Looks like Blippar has been acquired, but with no mention of valuation.
