Had 3 trades at this today. Think im done.
Biggest faller on the FTSE 100 today.
I think I’ve found the reason today’s dip.
Thanks for the article.
Don’t worry winter is just around the corner. Snow forecasts already on Google for the UK
Buy the negative 30% dip
They might also be spooked by the Oct budget no?
That’s also a good read and I’m the same as that guy and you.
I bought a good amount at 4.03 on the 11th of sep.
To buy or not buy today hummmm I might of missed theows yesterday.im not sure.
What does everyone use to see what’s happened on the overnight trades? The article above seems like now the UK will be fighting the uds for pop prices and so thst means currently BP is far to expensive.
Would thst not mean the shard price will lower to accommodate profit loss because it looks to be thst way if they can’t sell narrows st the current prices?
Hold this in my HL ISA and my FT GIA. Bought back in Oct/Nov 2020 when Oil shares tanked. At this price I was happy to pick some up in my FT ISA. I’ve managed to pick up 119 shares at an avg share price of £3.90 over the last few weeks. Started buying when it hit £4.00 a share. This stock and SHELL are are in my 5 biggest share holdings along with HSBC, Phoenix and L&G.
I did decide to buy £100 pounds worth I’m just unsure but as I have some bought at near the 6 pounds mark, I thought try avg down a touch but I never seen that price yesterday or I would of bought in then.
Missed out on a cheeky 0.87% rise straight off the bat today lol
I think actully instead of doing 100 notes there I should of drip fed like 20s into it as I had a feeling it would bounce up then fly down but the full market is anyway. Ish.
I have a number though as in the max I want into BP currently so I’ll drop feed tiny amounts to avg down slowly and thst will help with what’s going on with the barrow prices. That’s my plan anyway.
I was trying to move away from single stocks but since I didn’t really hold any oil giants I thought I would go for BP for rewnewables. Investments in the future and such.
Currently though it’s my biggest loss with everything in the green bar afc energy but I have way more cash in BP than them.
I have things like glencoe which has never recovered since I bought a few shares ages ago and some other stragglers, afc energy is another I should of patched when it went green as I held that for years that’s also now like 16% down but I thankfully I don’t have to much in it.
See how it goes though eh I’m sure people will be pretty active in the BP chat over the next while.
I think there good value at present having done some extensive reading. Started buying at £4.12….then averaged down to £4. No loose change till next month so will sit tight.
I’m at £3.88 so that will be me for a while or may top up under £4 if I get chance
My average is £4.35. But, have my L&G dividend to spend next week.
I sold 155 shares out of my GIA in April for £5.11.
I just can’t seem to get the timing right with my ISA though.
Currently averaging £4.06.
Time to buy more?
I always think anyways below your average so worth it in a solid stock like this.
Some decent gains made over the last 2days from thesub £4.
Time to add at these prices
Completely agree @Monaz
I did video on BP a few weeks ago which you may find interesting. It is a steal at this price. Let me know what you think
initiated a position today - 134 Shares @£3.78
hopefully long
Was this supposed to say £3.78? Thats a great buy in price
