Coronavirus and Stock Markets - Thoughts?

Anyone getting 2008 vibes from this? I know my novice self hasn’t seen anything like this before - so I have to ask it:

Will the Coronavirus spark a recession?

  • Yes

Another question is how much low market will go? I was thinking of FTSE 100 at 5500 and market has already crossed it…applying previous major crisis it seems to me we are talking about FTSE 100 at 4500-5000…i know these are guess only and best is to wait and watch but would be good to know what others think?

I don’t think VUKE and VMID have reached bottom yet, because we haven’t yet reached any kind of lockdown situation in the UK, which I think will happen at some point. I’m actually a little surprised the USA has got there before us with so many companies enforcing work-from-home on their employees.

September 2008 - February 2009 (at least). But this time it’ll be different.
