The UK just joined the CPTPP, which includes countries like Australia, Canada & Japan.
Does this mean that Freetrade can passport their UK broker licence to these countries?

Bump for a response.
While the focus is rightly on profitability/UK right now, it would be good to understand if this simplifies expansion into those markets.
I would imagine possibly not but we wont know until all the official details are released and we actually join it which according to the news is unlikely until 2024 at least.

This might be a big part of the reason for the waitlist in Japan… Although I expect that plan will be paused for quite some time.
