Have always said this was a long term HODL and I stand by that
Going private
Far too cheap imho might flush out some counter bids
Fingers crossed someone else comes in
Is this likely to end the same way as back in August 2022 when there was a take over announced. Shares spiked to over £5, then dropped when the take over fell through. I held on, I know others sold, even buying a few more in December 22. I’m now sitting in the green, over 60%, and hovering over the sell button. But just like back then, I’m not sure if I should press it.
This time it seems like a deal will be done but top slicing a few probably isn’t the worst thing to do but obviously that’s your decision not advice.
Big jump today what’s happened

This has the end of day trades. Looks like an error
Google shares page has the jump as well
Anyone know where this stock has gone? I can no longer see it on the app?
It’s gone private, money will get paid into freetrade when it’s all gone through
Thanks for the info!
I can still see my holding. Its just not tradable.
I believe funds should be released no later than the 15th October. So we should see the money in our freetrade accounts a few day later. Details can be found on the darktrace website. Disclaimer
Bought at average £3.60 2 years ago. Had set to sell at £6.00 so delighted to be getting £6.20 in a week or so.
Nope. You will get $7.75. The pound has strengthened since the offer was accepted so if you have followed the offer proposal you will realise that you will get less than £6.00 … prob around £5.85. As Freetrade gets the sum in dollars you will additionally pay the currency exchange fee.
But the good news, based on the numbers you state, is that you will still make a profit.
Still a good profit
I don’t think freetrade charges an FX fee on usd dividends. I imagine this may be treated the same. I’m just guessing though.

It would be a bonus if that is the case. You should clarify with Support whether there is a fee on FX dividends. In anycase, as some other brokers have done, Freetrade should have already informed shareholders what would be happening on windup and what the options were.
