SP dropping over the last few days. With the BH news thought it would have climbed? Keeps us all interested and on our toes :grinning:

Hate to be that guy to promote himself but i recently (last few days) researched the stock and produced a video on it.

Global statistics on premium drink consumption and Diageo’s global growth look good but it seems to already be priced into the share price with high P/E and PEGY ratios. There’s also a growing percentage of people in the UK who do not drink at all. This is growing fastest in 16-24 year olds.

Thanks for posting a summary on the post. Big bug bear when people share videos is when they give no clues on the content or conclusion until you watch the whole thing.

My view on Diageo is that the price is ok at the moment, P/E the lowest it has been over the last 4 or 5 years. Normally a good sign.

No problem at all! I’m just glad I don’t use bait thumbnails with a weird shock face!

Interesting, but maybe that just means it had an overinflated P/E anyway and it’s due to come down? I personally think the stock is a buy somewhere around £30-32.

Fantastic dividend history + good growth areas but drinking habits are very fluid and change with societal views. Online sales of premium drinks are increasing and approaching 10% of total sales, so that is a growth area, but I just feel the stock is a bit overpriced at the moment.

Only time will tell! :sunglasses: :+1:

It’ll be interesting to see if the share price will be affected by the pending lawsuit:

One thing I dont like about UK (actually, non-US) stocks is the data isnt as easy to come by.

Stockanalysis has p/e history for Diageo which suggests it is at a reasonable level, if not a stonking buy. The forecast info is light though. But has a solid enough dividend growth.

Good sign. I’m not a guinness drinker, but I’ve heard the 0% stuff is good.

I’m an occasional Guinness drinker and can verify that the 0% stuff is pretty good :+1:

I tried this on the weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I’m not sure I could tell the difference been the alcohol and non-alcohol versions.

I don’t drink enough to get hangovers nowadays. Any more than 2 or 3 pints in an afternoon and I’ll have a headache by 5pm.
