Freetrade Competitors

I think T212 should have charged users to have access to this. They dropped the ball on that one perhaps.

I would of gladly paid for it too.

There are things you need to try to know if they are advantageous or not. In my particular case, it worked well as I managed to buy a small portion of SNOW in the last post-hours drop. The only downside for me is that some trades take a while to be executed, depending on the specific stock.

If it’s free it’s usually because they’re looking at the conversion rate to their profit making products

I don’t get the obsession with out of hours trading. Low liquidity, wide spreads and no guarantee the price will be any better than if you wait for market open.

If trading its greqt

It’s true. There’s no guarantee that the price will be any better. However, since timing the market is impossible, any opportunity is worth seizing—especially if you wish to average down your price from a long term holding stock.

Huge gains for me recently buying post market/pre market at better prices rather than waiting for open. Celsius, Snow, Palo to name a few.

If your not active or a trader then you wont understand the obsession. Several people including myself on here have benefitted from it, so its clearly beneficial.

That conclusion doesn’t follow, just as lottery winners do not mean playing the lottery gives positive EV.

Out of hours amplifies all of the disadvantages that come from over-trading, now that doesn’t preclude some winners - but mostly that’s the liquidity providers.

Regardless. My conclusion is, it has benefitted me and also members of the discord i engage in. Im yet to experience any disadvantages from it.

Clearly from your post you havent engaged and reaped the rewards from pre or after hours trading.

This is the wrong forum to discuss. If you need more insight as to its big benefits then maybe do some scrolling through a different forum not on here.

Like you said ā€œprecludeā€ some winners. Clearly beneficial then.

You got lucky,well done

Don’t worry people @adam and @Viktor will be/or are millionaires NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS :flushed: :flushed:

Oooo, slight whiff of jealousy there. Go on elaborate on the luck part?

Im all ears

ā€œLuckā€
Noun
ā€œsuccess or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one’s own actionsā€

Or in some cases no luck is involved at all, it’s a figment of the person imagination.

Definition of discord …

ā€œdisagreement between people.ā€

Sooo they disagree with your opinion on the advantages of after hours trading??

Hi all - it looks like there have been a number of flags here in the last day or so. Please keep the discussion on topic and remember to be kind to each other. It’s much nicer than having to comb through loads of flags

I have been having a play with the Robinhood app for the last week or two.
The app is fast and is also at the moment paying 5% interest on uninvested cash.

I don’t like that the main portfolio screen does not show the value or the profit/loss for each of your holdings. You have to tap into each holding to see the details of your holding and your investment returns. (It does show the overall profit / loss though on the main screen).
