Freetrade is crowdfunding on Crowdcube 🎈

Yep, we are bringing them back, although we might do them as community posts / AMAs. But you’ll definitely hear more about our new team members, lots of interesting backgrounds and stories to share!

Big weekly/fortnightly AMA with a little intro from the individual in question would really be great!

Hi Viktor,

Will we have to wait until 11:40 to see the pitch? Seems like it might be a tad manic on the live date to flick through the pitch & figures

Yes, we can only share the pitch deck via Crowdcube!

The reason is, it is not a public offering, and while we can discuss logistics, rewards, etc, much of the details are only appropriate to be disclosed for Crowdcube members, as part of the FCA-regulated crowdfunding.

On a related note, I’d encourage everyone to sign up for Crowdcube in advance as an account would need to be created and there is a questionnaire etc that does take a bit of time.

If the raise is as manic as that of last year - there is a seven days cool-off period, and you are free to change your mind!

Viktor where will we see the price per share ?

Can you pledge an amount and then revise down after the round has finished?

Worth checking out Crowdcube’s Can I cancel or reduce my investment? post.

(edit): @AchillesFirstStand has pointed out It’s slightly different to what I thought it was.

Can you do me a favour please, close this thread for a couple of hours after you’ve posted the link so we don’t have to search through if lots of people reply with just over 20 characters haha :joy:

Imagine that eh, the servers crash! That would be a nightmare!

The link is slightly different from what your post said. “If you would like to reduce your investment while the pitch you have invested in is live, you will need to cancel your investment and then make a new investment of the reduced amount.”

So to reduce your investment, you would need to cancel the original investment first, which may mean you loose your EIS eligibility if you’re not in the first £2M of funds any more? And I guess also if the crowdfund hits the funding limit someone else could jump in the moment you cancel your initial investment?

Invest quickly in a few stages so if you want to cancel some of it you can? If you make, say, three investments even if within a few minutes, they are considered separately by Crowdcube.

Crowdcube will calculate the share price on a fully diluted basis, and it will come to 84.32p.

From my reading of the link on cancelling or adjusting any investment I read it as while the Crowdfunding is still live the investment cannot be amended without cancelling and re-investing… but once the crowdfunding round was closed and we are in the ‘cooling off’ period that investments could be reviewed and reduced if required…

Also, investors in a pitch that successfully reaches its target amount will be emailed a copy of the adopted Articles of Association, and are a cooling off period in which to review them. During this period you can query, reduce or withdraw your investment if you wish to do so. Once the cooling off period, which is generally no shorter than seven days has expired all investments are legally binding, and cannot be cancelled.
