Like many others I received some payments, although I still think there is one missing.

Wonā€™t know until next months payments

One is missing. Septemberā€™s. I had a chat with an FT bod. Apparently the issue remains, at HMRCā€™s end. No visibility as to when itā€™ll get sorted.

If itā€™s HMRCā€™s fault what more do you want from FT?

Is this still an on-going problem.
I opened a SIPP at the end of August, topping up on the 28th and then again on the 9th of Septemberā€¦

Has anybody any idea as to how long the wait currently is?

Iā€™m sure if I decided to withhold Ā£1800 from HMRC when I file my self assessment, thereā€™d be hell to pay (well, fines and penalties and interest)

I received all my tax relief I should have in September including the additional August payments that were missed.

With regards to your contributions tax relief usually takes 6-11 weeks to turn up but I would expect your August tax relief on or around the 21st October and the September tax relief on or around the 21st November

Are you able to confirm @acamp that this issue is now resolved?

It is not resolved. Iā€™m still waiting for Septemberā€™s relief and in 8 daysā€™ time Octoberā€™s will be due. Itā€™s compromising my recurring orders as they are short by several hundred pounds a month. Itā€™s been going on for months now.

I would like an answer as to why HMRC are withholding money owed to people.

ā€œBecause they areā€ isnā€™t an answer.

Youā€™re not alone; many are experiencing delays with tax relief payments in their SIPP. It seems the issues with HMRC are affecting several users, and hopefully, the administrator resolves this soon.

Has anyone received this monthā€™s payments yet?

Not yet.

Did you phone HMRC you make a complaint that always dies the trick. The best thing about todayā€™s society in tech is make any sort of complaint and all of s sudden everything works again or you get a free gift or a months free internet, free data etc etc

Iā€™m not like this in real life but when it comes to these situations with councils etc I will turn into cry baby mode to get what I went because in theory it shouldnā€™t of happened anyway for me to fry but needs must eh haha

Iā€™m trawling through the HMRC contact numbers for one that seems appropriate.
Slowly loosing the will to live

I just phone any and then say I know Iā€™m in the wrong department but I canā€™t get through so can you put me through then I get to the right department. I only do this if they make it such a pain in the ass to get through to each department.

Nope. Now 2 monthsā€™ payments awol.

Question raised with hmrc.
I gave up on the phone option.

Raised a query with customer service and the response I got back was

ā€œThis is what information we were able to find at present.
ā€‹
HMRC are experiencing delays at the moment. Weā€™re not able to comment further on this but we can confirm the delays arenā€™t affecting all providers, although they are affecting multiple providers, including us. Weā€™re in contact with HMRC and will keep you updated with any developments. I am sorry for the inconveniences.ā€

@acamp I understand this is out of your control but the communication on this issue from Freetrade has been non-existent bar one email Iā€™ve received and that is something that is within your control.

In other words, no one knows why HMRC are suddenly withholding money owed to us, and no one from Freetrade has bothered to actually get an answer from HMRC.

Iā€™ve currently stopped putting money into my Freetrade SIPP until this issue is either resolved or I get a satisfactory answer about the delays from either FT or HMRC.

funny how all the constant delays in SIPP tax relief, dividend payments, accurate tax reporting certs, are always someone elseā€™s fault?

Freetrade need to take responsibility for their failures and a the very least communicate with their customers honestly.

Iā€™m trying to get answers from them about inaccurate tax cert reporting so donā€™t expect any resolution soon.

They just bury their head in the sand and ignore you. @freetrade
