Still nothing!
it seems they are processing either based on amount or Alphabetical order
Lol unfortunate for me if alphabetically
I know early alphabet people and large amount people that havenāt been paid yet.
Still nothing - no excuse with AML/KYC as I received the proceeds for another investment two months ago.
Totally unacceptable
Iāll add my name to the list of people getting pretty cheesed off.
Without going into too much detail, does anyone know why it takes so long and seemingly accounts need to be subjected to individual KYC/AML checks?
I would have thought youād just run the entire payee/account list against the checks simultaneously and then be able to pay the bulk of people in one go?
Bingo on the bulk comment and why this is ridiculous (not just saying that but from experience having worked at 2 UK crowdfunding platforms before- not crowdcube but everyone will know one of them)
Usually there would be a delay if there was an AML / KYC issue on an account so they have to do manual checks / ask for more ID or make a report if something serious is flagged aka stuff like politically exposed people or you have a similar name to one , sanction list etcā¦and await further instruction so this could take time but this is strange as we can still invest and carry out other activity that falls within AML / KYC with no issuesā¦
Can I ask everyone whoās saying this is unacceptable, to follow up via Financial Ombudsman or whatever other route you choose? Because if you donāt, youāre saying it is acceptable, and it will continue.
Been good seeing you around @saf & @stephen.
Iāll be getting my account deleted once Iām paid out, a colossal waste of time and energy unfortunately. I really felt like we were part of something.
Iām breaking cover briefly to urge people not to rush into deleting their accounts.
The discussions that have taken place here, particularly those involving senior members of the Freetrade team, are an important part of this unfortunate story. For any journalists investigating the full extent of this crowdfunding debacle, or for anyone seriously exploring potential grounds for action, the posts and conversations on here could prove invaluable.
Iād also like to tell Adam, Viktor, and the wider Freetrade team: please leave your posts visible and refrain from reassigning them to other accounts, as has happened when other staff members departed. Your personal profiles all show your post activity and the last time your account was logged in and viewing posts on here.
With the new ownership likely to assume increasing control, I suspect this community will eventually be shut down. Very few companies are willing to take on the burden of moderating a large forum, especially one that so openly documents the whole crowdfunding journey.
I do have one final post planned when the ~80% loss on my £11,000 investment finally hits my bank account. That bloody crowdfunding NFT perk worked really well at getting me to invest too much, hats off to whoever thought of it.
Just keep it so wee can see your inputs for training purposes.
P.S I still havenāt been paid
To everyone on this community - it has been a pleasure.
Signing off
No cow you canāt leave me, Iāll have a nervous breakdown if I donāt see your posts. Where shall I find the hooves of doom now.
A/S/L⦠We need everyoneās phone numbers so we can keep in contact and share losses jokes ofc not but for all the people leaving it was nice chatting to you while the hype was up and may your fortunes be fortunate.
Still havenāt been payed, Alarm bells for me were Socks and general merchandise rather than developing the offering, live and learn. Crowdcube have no excuse for the slow payments itās what their business is if you sell pigs in pokes you should be able to pay out when the baconās sold.
Still nothingā¦ā¦.
Nothing yetā¦
Still nothingā¦probably the most Iāve ever checked this discussion boardā¦
I have contacted IGās PR company regarding non-payment, and their obligation, as the acquiring company, to pay shareholders. They have stated that, unless I can cite a specific publication that is requesting a response, they will not issue a response. They have also confirmed that any response would not vary based on who the requesting publication was. I have pushed as to why they need to have a specific publicationās name (and deadline, fyi) if the response would be the same regardless, but have been met with nothing.
Hence why people should rasie a complaint with the financial ombudsman. Each case will cost crowd cube £650 if investigated forcing their hand.
