this can only make sense if it’s a margin call

Wow indeed - that is indefensible.

No way!!! Surely that’s due to a margin call?!

If not, that must be illegal?!!

Even if it’s a margin call, they usually start by asking you to deposit more money

Breaks down fairly simply

Edit - The statement above may not be correct. The article below isn’t that clear, it could be Ken Griffin that owns a bit of Robinhood, or Citadel Securities, or it may be an odd way of saying Citadel Securities is paying Robinhood for the order flow.

criminal activity then?!

There is precedence from the 29th February twice in a row when robinhood crashed due to not programming the date in (and not correcting for 4 years :joy:). A few people got a bit of money back but they were very sneaky and lots got nothing.

So long as you’re careful with your investing and don’t invest more than you can afford to lose you’ll be fine.

Everyones welcome, freetrades experienced a bit of a surge atm with new sign ups (45x normal) which is making customer care a bit slower than they like, just remember they don’t treat people like the other lot

Hold & buy. Buy & hold.

Free trade… In light of circumstances, make this stock not plus so we can encourage more to plough the extra crayon costs into into the stock instead. Do it for the market. Do it for degenerative generation.

If people are going to risk buying & holding, IMO they should have no trouble coughing up a measly £10

If you agree to pay out losses from your own pocket later

According to Yahoo finance pre market is back up 100% to almost $400. AMC also up 60% to almost $14. Its crazy and fun to watch if nothing else. Plus with all the shenanigans with holding back trades yesterday i think the internet has the bit between its teeth with this.

The bubble will burst but not before they do some damage to those shorting. If you fancy a wild bet enjoy, if not sit back and watch the soap opera

Edit: Also if reading it all properly the volume against AMC is ridiculous, so lots of liquidity around that. Plus GME is still shorted over 100% of shares, so depending on how today goes it could get spicy
