Let me get this straight. Starting this discussion thread the Original Poster asked the question “Can everyone share the apps they are using to follow the stock exchange? Maybe add the pros and cons as well”. He titled the tread as “Google Finance portfolio tracking” but I am off topic for suggesting someone have a look at the Yahoo portfolio?
The person I responded to had a question that I could not give a direct solution when using the Google portfolio. Therefore, I added that the Yahoo portfolio might work for him to solve that particular issue he has as an alternative option to try out.
I use both the Google and the Yahoo portfolios because, why not. For me in any case, it is quite interesting to see that there’s only an 82 pence difference in portfolio value between the two platforms. Yahoo shows a more accurate Total Gain because it accounts for sale transactions as well.
Lastly, I actually do use both portfolios as a “book keeping of transactions tool” and if works fine for me keeping track of transactions and with Yahoo including sale transactions as well. No need for me to do any of this, but its fun.
Seriously mate, calm down. No need for you to shoot holes in other people’s comments. Better yet; supply a solution to the issue at hand.
Failing that; end the day with a refreshing
or two on me.
