While that’s the ostensible reason, I suspect there was an external stimulus like a large investor they feel they can’t live without who pushed them into this, because I sincerely doubt they would have done this without significant external pressure. I’d suspect this comes from the VC. It just seems odd to me to cave to this pressure at this stage, twice.
