Hi, I’ve been looking at Mcbride. It is potentially interesting - cleaning products have been more popular recently. The latest trading update was positive (‘Board now expects full year adjusted profit before tax to be approximately 15% ahead of current market expectations and for net debt at 30 June 2020 to be lower than expectations’). Sounds alright to me. But…
Now the question, the last half year report quotes eps (adjusted, diluted…)
They are quite different, I’m failing to work out why … note that 2018 half year adjusted and diluted eps were 0.6p apart. in 2019 they were 1.8p apart. Why?
What will the full year diluted eps be? Any reason not to focus on the diluted eps?
Any thoughts? Thank you.
