BCPT is going private think it’s 96p a share to be paid

BCPT aren’t planning on declaring a dividend until the sale anyway, and have said any dividend that is paid will be subtracted from the sale settlement. I’ve replaced BCPT with SMIF, SDIP, QYLP and FAIR.

I’ve topped up another REIT (AEW) I already hold and have added new holdings in SMIF and QYLP…

I can’t do graphs so it’s that or nothing :flushed:

Rio’s the only miner I’m holding now, sold Glencore yesterday to invest in something else although I haven’t decided what yet

First time I’ve ever received dividends over £1k in a month

Been investing since September 2020 started with a Hargreaves Lansdown ISA account then opened a Freetrade account. Just a GIA to start with and now in my 2nd year using a Freetrade ISA.

Hell done mate :tada:! Congratulations on the milestone… specially in such a short time (from 2020, which is just under 5 years).

Very good going! Can i be cheeky and ask for the total portfolio size? Id love a £1000 a month dividend. Assuming its somewhere around 150k

Current value of portfolio is £133k all dividends were reinvested and there has been some great growth on a few of my holdings. i bought oil and bank stocks when they collapsed in Sept 2020. Current years avg dividends per month is just over £500 I’m on target to get over £6k for this year. Portfolio is heavily biased to Oil, Renwables and UK financial stocks banks, insurers and pension companies. I started to buy UK Reits when the interest rates spiralled and they dropped in price. Ive certainly made some errors chasing high dividend stocks along they way. But thats all part of investing.

I decided to do a video update on my dividend progress. Made some fantastic progress and hit £200 this month (almost hit £1k for 2024 which was a goal of mine). Let me know what you think :+1:

Very enjoyable, liked it and subscribed. I had a couple of podcasts i was following by dividened investors but they stopped updating. So i will be looking forward to seeing you continuing your journey.

Appreciate that! Anything else you would like to see in monthly videos? Also, where are you in your dividend journey?

Good video for someone starting out on their YouTube journey! I to have subscribed as I love a good dividend vlog. The Compounding Investor and Thomas Goldstep Finance are both good also.

Appreciate that too! Thank you so much  I did follow a few youtubers like Mark Tilbury etc but i found their videos to be repetitive and click baiting. For example, Mark Tilbury has a few videos on the same lines of ‘if i started invested again, here is where i would invest’ ‘how to invest your first £10,000’ etc.

My goal is to build a trusted platform. I am a research scientist by trade (Post-PhD) and i am pretty analytical, so i like to do in depth analysis of stocks. This does not get many views currently but I am still building it. So the goal is to produce personal videos on my journey + in depth analysis videos :+1:

Content was fine with me. Always a pleasure to see someone disclosing their figures, there’s a few i’ve followed wich don’t tell you anything about how much is invested or in which shares

My dividend journey is only just beginning, spent a couple of years chasing rainbows with growth stocks, but the last year being a bit more realistic, providing there’s no more divi cuts I should end this year around £750 divi’s received

I also like to know the total gain / loss of portfolios. Someone may make £100 in dividends a month but the portfolio might be in the red overall.

Good going on your dividend journey, you will crack that £1,000 threshold in 2025 :sunglasses::+1:
