Pre market looking good
This thought crossed my mind recently after reading posts here, looking up my own dividends for the month and finding not a penny.
But I won’t tempt fate by starting a thread focused on unrealised capital gains.
The great thing about income investing is how ‘real’ it feels to see cash regularly landing in your account that nobody can take away.
But it is important to guard against focusing on dividends at the expense of total return.
November is also a £100 + dividend month ( 7 / 12 )
then December is a quiet month 40 / 45 quid for dividends
Congratulations! Those £100+ months feel good
Here is my dividend video for October. Reached my target of £1,000 in dividends for 2024 And incorporated elements into the updates based on feedback here (total return + where i invest my money). Let me know if there is anything i can improve and i hope you all had an amazing dividend month
and sorry for the nasally voice, i have a cold
Will take a look later
Appreciate it
Thanks MJR
I’ll take a look at your video over the weekend
Keep up your dividend journey. I’m sure you’ll get to whatever ultimate goal you aim for. Goodluck in the Far East its a fabulous place. I would recommend a visit to Sentosa Island in Singapore, lots to do there.
Congrats on hitting your £1k target already @MJRInvests - well done!
Hope you enjoy your trip to Asia, particularly the food!
I’ll be in that continent myself soon, except I’ll be going to Hong Kong (visiting friends and family) and China (short trip).
Thank you for this recommendation. I’m in Singapore for 3 days so will check it out! Then going up to Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi island, Phuket, Phi Phi Islands, and Krabi.
I am really looking forward to the food as my favourite type of food in the UK is Thai / Japanese (never been to Japan but it is top of my list for the future). I have heard good things about Hong Kong, particularly the ‘old’ Hong Kong. Have an amazing time Weenie and look forward to seeing your dividends for this month
Sounds like an amazing trip. Enjoy!

curious are you focused on just dividend paying assets, or are you invested in any growth based non dividend stocks as well?
@eden Its largely dividend stock based. I took the opportunity to invest in a few US growth stocks at the end of 2022 beginning of 2023 as they offered fair value at the time. AMZN, TSLA, GOOG. Also hold BG’s SMT and USA. Uk stocks Wise and RR.
ISA dividends for November:
[Context - Portfolio size around £73k, been investing since 2015]
This is my second highest paying month this year, with average yield currently running at around 6%.
Progression over the years:
My dividend income received this year has now matched what I got for the total of last year. December isn’t usually a big month for divis, but barring any surprises, I think I should hit the target I have set for myself
Hope everyone had a good month of divi income!
Nice work @weenie and good encouragement for others (like me). Thanks for sharing.
