So I got an email from Crowdcube for overfunded pitches and noticed one was for Mr and Mrs Smith. A very quick look showed they have been around since 2003 and have a good turnover?
Should I be worried they are looking to crowd fund? Is this a genuine push for additional growth? I ask only because I got burned with Sugru who were singing all praises of growth and asking for more investment only to go under less than a year later.
I’m not familiar with this startup 
but perhaps they’re just using the crowdfunding to give their marketing a bit of a boost?

I suppose my concern is they’ve been around for 15 years and now they are crowdfunding?
I need to read the pitch in more detail when I get the chance.
Crowdfunding is the big thing at the moment. Not surprising to see older established companies having a go at it. I think Alex is bang on the money about the marketing boost aspect.
I’m sure it’s why many companies went on Dragon’s Den.
