I haven’t seen or heard any evidence of what you are saying about the new boss at GB News shorting NatWest, or that Mr.Farage is connected to supposed shorting either.
It has now been widely reported in many articles online that the move was political, if you still don’t think it was, perhaps you should read the details of the 40 page dossier they compiled about Mr.Farage, referencing that Brexit, pro-Donald Trump, and even being a friend of Novak Djokovic don’t align with their views.
I think that dossier alone is an absolute disgrace, and it’s about more than Mr.Farage. I think there needs to be a shift away from the ESG focus that these institutions are being heavy handed with, and even the hint that they are potentially using it against anyone, be it Nigel Farage or Joe Bloggs, must be stamped out.
Banks should be banks, not an extension of the culture wars, or the polarising political debate, in any way shape or form.
That’s all I wish to say on the matter, I don’t wish to argue on the merits of Mr.Farage or what you think his motives might be.
Lastly, I would reiterate, if anyone here thinks NatWest is a buy, then I wouldn’t let this put you off. In my opinion it’ll soon be forgotten.
