Oh dear looks like Phoenix has dropped lower than the dividend. I’m tempted to start selling pre ex dividend and then buying back in. Oh well I bet if I did that it would go the other way lol
My avg buy on this is £5.11 if it gets that low i will buy some more.
I bought another 38 this morning. I just couldn’t resist at these yields. Hopefully this is a blip and we will see recovery soon.
I picked up 47 since the Ex Dividend date as it dropped close to my avg buy of £5.11.
I’ll be topping up some more when I get paid assuming it stays at this price ofc
Oh well back up we go, just in time for dividend payment day. I have in the recent past bought these at 6.50 so there should be some room for growth. As a company they are paying down debt raising record amounts of cash and increasing dividends so there’s no reason why it shouldn’t go up. Here’s hoping labour don’t do something really stupid and destroy the pensions industry with a ridiculous tax.
Interesting we have dropped again. I’d like it to go under 5 now just long enough to reinvest the dividends
I think we are going to see a fair bit of pullback on share prices on the LSE until the budget is delivered on Wednesday 30th October.
Hopefully this is more project fest than reality. Although I am happy to top up at the lower prices.
I had to take advantage of the price drop so I picked up another 19 as it dropped down to my avg buy of £5.11.
Nice average.
Mine’s at £5.75 but I first bought in June 2020 when the price was £6.80
Thanks, started buying in Nov 21 in my FT GIA. Sold my holding in Apr 23 at £5.89. Transferred the money to my FT ISA and rebought at £5.76 in the May 23 more luck than judgement. Have been averaging down when the opportunity arises ever since. Managed to take advantage of the price drop in Sept and Oct 23.
Happy dividend payment day everyone. Hopefully we will get the funds quickly and we can buy under 5. I bought too soon myself (big mistake) however I am only buying in 100 pound batches so it doesn’t make that much of a difference
Received after close of play as usual
£63 buying more L + G shares tomorrow
