[Shipped ✅ ] Same-day withdrawals

Considering the number of complaints and bad reviews concerning the time it takes for customer funds to hit their bank account, which in our instant payments FinTech world has become unacceptable, :freetrade: needs to implement automated same-day withdrawals. If :freetrade: have to make it a paid feature then so be it. At least customers would have a choice and :freetrade: could even make money off it.

I would also like for the choice to make automated same-day withdrawals. They might be pricey though. And I bet there would be customers complaining it’s a rip-off, and complaining that if Freetrade really wants to call itself Freetrade it should make the same day withdrawals free… But yeah I’m for having the option for a sensible fee

The Freemium model is now well accepted. All the FinTechs now work on Freemium model, cf. Revolut.

Hi everyone

Same-day withdrawals have arrived for Plus subscribers.

Make a withdrawal before 2 PM on a working day and your cash will land in your bank account by the end of the day.

For withdrawals made after the 2 PM cutoff, or on a weekend or bank holiday, your cash will arrive by the end of the next working day.

If your bank isn’t on faster payment rails, you might not receive your withdrawal the same day. Check if your bank uses faster payment rails here.

This feature starts rolling out today, and will be available to all Plus customers in the next two weeks.

Not intending to become a Plus customer? Don’t feel left out, we’ve got a new instrument type launching in the coming weeks for our Standard customers, too! Stay tuned…

Is there still a settlement period after selling a stock?

For example, if I sold VWRL at 11.50am today. Could I realistically receive my cash in my bank today?

Hi @TInvest, there has not been any change in settlement time when selling stocks. Currently this is one working day for US stocks and two working days for UK and European markets.

This is a great addition.

Yes, we still have to wait for settlement, but to get it into your bank on the same day is great news

Anyone out there keeping their fingers crossed for anything in particular? Personally I’m hoping for gilts, but maybe this is additional treasury bill durations, any other thoughts what this might be?
