Is this the future of banking, once a week use or are we flogging a dead horse trying to save the high street bank:
There’s still a generation of older people who don’t bank online so banks on the high street will still be a necessity for these.
Granted that as these people die and cash is used less, there will be less need but I don’t think this horse is quite on its last legs.
My local Bank closed recently, only 88 customers (Banks info) used the bank exclusively whilst everyone else used apps/online banking. The Post Office next door provides the service for those who don’t bank online. I think in the future most Banks will have one Branch in the largest town in a big area for things that need face to face discussions.
