We’re excited to share that Alex Sherwood (@Freetrade_Team1) has just joined Freetrade as our Community Manager!
Alex has been a fintech and challenger bank enthusiast since 2016, hanging out on the Monzo forum and becoming one of the first Leaders over there. Most recently he was Head of Community at 11:FS, a challenger consultancy that publishes Fintech Insider, one of the most impactful podcasts on the topic.
When we launched this forum, it was in the heady weeks before our crowdfunding round. We noticed there were a lot of questions, especially about the product and various features, fragmented across emails, social media etc. We thought we should have a place where we could answer all of them, and channel all the feedback and suggestions, so we can build Freetrade for the community, with the community.
Since then, the forum grew a lot. I regularly hear the team say ‘X on the forum suggested’ or ‘have you seen that question from Y?’.
Last month, we were only 500 pageviews away from reaching our Discourse quota, and having to upgrade to a higher tier plan! 
With all this growth, Alex will help take our relationship with our community to the next level. His primary mission will be to:

Share even more about what we’re building (there’s a lot more previews on the way), and letting you know what we’re planning, in response to your feedback.

Help build a welcoming place for investors of all levels and experience.
