I share the same sentiment as you. I didn’t think nuclear should be in the scene, since it was demonized as this evil thing from all the incidents (which I can understand why). But after reading about the energy and the infrastructure we have build over decades, I understood the output isn’t there yet from all the current green energy methods.
Also I read this book which sort of educated me in reality.
The negative sentiment towards the fossil fuel or nuclear infrastructure in public discourse is inflated to believe that we have methods which can get rid of the current ways in an instant and somewhat only money is the driving factor to keep them going.
This simply isn’t true and we will be cutting branch we sit on, in an act to save the world. We need to transition out, and I hope too that battery and storage technologies improve 10 fold to give us the output we need.
