ANSYS develops engineering simulation software that enables structures and electronics etc to be tested without having to build physical test products. They service industries such as aerospace, automotive, electronics, semiconductors, energy, healthcare and sports etc.
They have shown a pretty steady upward trend in share price over last five years with a ~65% increase in the last year. They have outperformed the S&P 500 by a very wide margin since their IPO in 1996. P/E is currently about 54.
They’re one of those companies you don’t hear much about but everyone probably owns something that their software has been used to design. I believe SpaceX use their software.
