Continued to buy all day, once they had dropped below £4.

I bought in at 4.02, since I was in a good bit of red from my previous buy in.

I thought why not lower the avg

I think that’s a good call, I did the same, averaging at Ā£4.02 at the moment.

My average is 4.41 lol

It’s a tough one to call. Should be a no-brainer buy, but I think that the market is factoring in a hammering at the next budget. The only way to deflect from taking away the WFA is for the government to make a statement about energy profits, i.e. an even more painful windfall tax.
That said, BP is now at bid territory because an offer of SP plus 25% premium would still be a steal.
It’s a stock that I trade in and out of cyclically, but I’m in at this price aiming for a 10% return by Christmas.

Thanks for the input. I didn’t know if I wanted to buy in today to be honest as it’s been in the red for a good while for me.

I kept seeing good news though of them buying up this and that or doing joint ventures and getting into renewable.

Then I see news and other leaks and people saying the moneys dried up for building windmills etc and the costs are nuts for parts currently.

So I was a little like eeeee and wasn’t iit BP that just recently said oil is at its peak right now.

I hadn’t realised the SP had sunk below Ā£4 untill I caught up on this thread.
I hovered over the buy button for a while until we got to 16.30, something stopped me.
I’ll check again tomorrow and hopefully there’ll be a little downward movement in the price early on.
I sold off my late father’s 155 shares in April when the SP hit Ā£5.11 and I’ve been waiting to buy back into my ISA ever since. His 155 now becomes 197, I’ll not hesitate if we hit Ā£3.96 - 200 shares

Lol this is Freetrade, dont expect it before 27th. They have to cash the cheque and carry all the loose change from the bank. Or some such feeble excuse.

Ah right enough. Can’t complain too much with a free service. But glad I’m not the only one
