Just an interesting note, it’s been there for a while I just hadn’t noticed before. Freetrade is listed in BGs magazine along side the usual big players

Not sure what to think about these weight loss drugs, it seems like a easy place for abuse (and dependency on these drugs)

Interesting. I have a lot of exposure to these weight loss drugs, albeit from non-BG funds.

While there’s potential for abuse, I think it’s a good thing on the whole.

If the US insurers get on board, this could be a massive industry over the next decade or so.

Yes it sounds like there’s a number of innovations this kind of research could lead to. My worry isn’t really the drug but the social/psychological aspect where people who can lose weight through normal means (not considering those who have medical issues) go to these drugs, which only work so long as you continue to take them. But that’s people’s choice I suppose.

The research and applications are interesting, it will definitely be a profitable area of medicine

Their spring magazine is in the post

Autum magazine is out it seems. Freetrade is still listed as one of their fund platforms (the one neo-broker I think listed )

This was an interesting read. I’m not sure I have as much confidence in SMT post-Anderson.

But he left at a perfect time really, with Slater and Burns thrown into the deep end.

A former PHI manager made some similarly worrying comments about the culture at BG a few years back.

Plus, we had a row over private equity with one of SMT’s directors.
