This trust invests in large and small-cap companies in North America, with a focus on capital growth over income.
Back in May one of my free share referral was this investment trust. Never bother to look to much into it.
It has been doing particularly well since then around 40% return. Anyone invested in this?

Not invested in it but it has well outperformed it’s SP500 since the pandemic. it’s not a very aggressive trust and hasn’t really outperformed the benchmark over the long term except for over the past 12months. The fee is one of the lowest in the active management area which is a plus.

Worryingly, JAM’s chairman and co-managers have announced they are standing down.
Very few active managers have outpaced the S&P500 with the same consistency.
I struggle with what to do when there’s significant changes, and JAM’s one of my biggest positions.
Good management is the number one thing I look for nowadays and it’s a quandary when a big part of your reasoning for investing goes out the window.
With IBT, I offloaded it almost immediately which has worked out well.
Kate Bingham – who’s credited as the mastermind behind the Covid vaccine rollout, one of the few things the UK seemed to get right in the pandemic – was a big part of my initial rationale.
By contrast, holding on to MWY has not worked out nearly as well. I really like the chairman but I’m losing patience as it continues to underperform, so it’s very much on the chopping block.
What to do with JAM? It’s done exceptionally well so it would pain me to part with it.
I’ll probably hold for two/three years to see how it goes. Now, I think I’d be more confident in adding to my PSH position or an S&P tracker instead.
If anyone’s got on any thoughts/ideas when it comes to management changes, I’m all ears!
