Liberty Global has recently announced a merger between its brand Virgin Media and Telefónica’s O2. It is a multinational communications company, with headquarters in London, Amsterdam and Denver. Liberty Global was formed in 2005 when Liberty Media International Inc and UnitedGlobalCom merged. These are now both subsidiaries.
The merger for the two companies involved is going to create a great company and I’d love to be able to manage my shares via Freetrade for this. They will share a massive network, and they’re calling it National Connectivity Champion*.
I’d also be interested in this one, especially with the continual growth of FTTP. I’m guessing Virgin Media will start acquiring altnets in the near future.
