Pershing Square Tontine Holdings - PSTH - Share Chat

Rumours are circulating about Bloomberg but not strong enough to send traders in a frenzy

I would be chuffed with that.

Just caught up with the PSH 3rd quarter investor call, he mentioned PSTH and that they are on track possibly for a Q1 announcement. He did sound very careful with his words, so likely negotiations are moving along or even legal discussions. The PSH website has the replay. Bloomberg as of late seem to be getting a lot Spac rumours so I wonder if they get something for PSTH before Q1, abeit I doubt if target is Bloomberg they probably won’t publish or comment

Yes, I already got the email. I just added the website in case anyone else was interested.

It’s around minute 42 to minute 45.

Super, would be good to hear what you thought about it.

@Viktor will PSTH investors be able to exercise their warrants on freetrade?

Warrants are a complex product that need manual intervention to convert to units so I doubt you will see any warrants on Freetrade any time soon. I would be happy to be proven wrong though.

Ok will buy PSTH on HL then

Hey, would one of the team be able to comment to say what will happen with the 1/9 warrant per share situation? I know Freetrade doesn’t offer warrant trading, but if Ackman does land a considerable target like Stripe, the stock value would likely double and those attached warrants would be worth a considerable amount. I’d like to double check on this just because I’d probably transfer just the PSTH portion of my portfolio to another broker if we’re unable to exercise them on Freetrade (which I suspect is the case?).

@Freetrade_Team Do you know what will happen with the Warrents with this SPAC? I’m tempted to boost my holding to meet the 1/9 warrent per share

Does this mean the warrants will be exercised and then sold? So we would benefit from them?

Or they will do nothing until Ackman potentially takes them back for $0.01?

Bit confused here

As I understand it, PSTH was only added onto FT once the initial warrants and the shares were two different and separate objects. As such, you have only bought the shares (at least for now) and do not currently have any warrants. If in the future you are entitled to any warrants, beyond the initial ones, then FT will probably announce what the procedure is and what they want to do.
I’d say that they will probably sell them for you at market value, but that is just a guess.

Pershing will announce a date when warrants are due when a merger is agreed. When due they will most likely be sold shortly after and cash distributed.

Up 7% today, anyone know why?

Came to ask the same, nobody seems to know online - there have been no official announcement for the company

Maybe announcement coming after close? Hype from other SPACs (e.g. IPOE got a 50%+ bump yesterday)? Pure speculation here…:man_shrugging:

This was my thought, these ‘celebrity’ SPAC’s do speak to the hubris is the market at the moment. Movements are almost 100% on hype.
That’s said I’m still in (with a small % of my portfolio)

Yahoo finance board is going crazy with all sorts, doesnt seem like anything concrete though. Maybe Bloomberg or Reuters can break news soon :crossed_fingers:
