Request - SMH and SMGB

Hi,

I’d like to request VanEck Vectors Semiconductor UCITS ETF. It trades on the London Stock Exchange as SMH (base currency: USD) and SMGB (base currency: GBP).

It’s the counterpart to its namesake listed on the NASDAQ.

Note: in another thread someone said that this ETF cannot be purchased in the UK, but this is not correct.

KIID: https://www.vaneck.com/globalassets/home/media/managedassets/etf-europe/library/kiids/kiid_vaneck_vectors_semiconductor_ucits_etf_uk_ie.pdf

Available in the UK through:

  • AJ Bell
  • Hargreaves Lansdown
  • and others…

Very much so… not sure where they got their info on this one.

The Freetrade team have determined the SMGB ETF to be illiquid. However, it’s possible that the SMH ETF could meet the requirements.

Please make a separate thread for each stock. This may seem ridiculous, but it’s how the staff want things done. Having more than one stock listed in a thread - even if it’s the same company - makes a mockery of the voting system.

I’ve created a new request/thread here for the SMH ETF only - [Request] SMH (VanEck Vectors Semiconductor UCITS ETF)

Would appreciate votes on it so the Freetrade team can look into adding the ETF as we all have interest in it :slightly_smiling_face: Thanks all.
