Newbie Question -

Does the 30%/15% (with form) only apply to dividends, or does it apply when I SELL US stocks as well. I am based in the UK. Thanks

The tax that you mention is the US witholding tax that applies to dividends. You may also have to pay capital gains tax.

I read somewhere that it also applies to interst?

To be specific, is there no witholding of profit when selling US stocks and shares in the UK, excpet gains over the Capital Gains threshold?
