Holding foreign currency is easier with different providers and fund performance isn’t related to the account currency when you plan on bringing it back to the UK eventually.

Multiple currencies appeals to me for the specific and limited reason that if I anticipate the pound is going to crash (not drop, crash, like 2008 or 1993 proportions) then it would be nice to have more options over exposure to a currency other than the dollar, with the Euro being a fairly obvious candidate. But that’s a once in a generation event and there are other ways to get that exposure.
