AST SpaceMobile - ASTS - Share Chat

I am looking for any delay in the launch, which could have a negative impact on the stock price. But I am with you on that one. No way I will take 50% chance on this level.

Anyway, the show’s just about to begin. An estimate says that there will potentially be around 17 million Americans ready to pay $10-$15 a month, and AST would take 50% of this fee at a high margin.

They got a permission from FCC to launch and operate 5 satellites.

This stock has hit a new all-time high as the launching date is closer. I think it will go even higher from here, as it will be basically a monopoly. At least until Starlink finds a way to provide voice directly to the phone.

A great earnings call.

Really excited about this one!

I bought when the price dropped and expect another decline soon. I don’t think it will fall below £10 though, given their progress on the space project. There might be some ups and downs after that, but it’s hard to predict. I’m not trying to time the market, but given the high risk, I’m taking a cautious approach. At least for now.

Agreed. As exciting as this, I’m trying to keep a sensible outlook.

This is marked for 5% of my portfolio, although today has slightly ruined that.

Another review of the earnings call that doesn’t limit you to page views

2,54% of my PF. 57% up right now.

Interestingly, the UBS target (which was the most aggressive I’ve seen) has been reached within 24 hours.

Will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

Considering there is significant potential to enter a monopoly or duopoly in this type of service, I believe the limit is much higher than the UBS target.

That’s definitely not an area where we will see many competitors. The barriers are high, and any company interested to explore the same service will need to find out the technology they have developed.

So I would say they have found “gold".

This was 2% of my portfolio, now 10%. Not trimming and going to let it run, and obviously kicking myself for not picking up more. It’s been fascinating keeping up to date with this one since it’s SPAC days!

My plan is to gradually increase my holdings during dips until they make up 10% of my portfolio, but I don’t want to take any crazy risks to achieve this. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll be content with whatever returns I can get. Either way, this was a great opportunity for those who bought in at $2.30 a month ago. I actually saw it at that price, but at that time, I was focused on other stocks.

I’m averaging $10 at the moment so I have a decision after today

Congrats at getting in so early

It’s still early

For anyone reading up on AST, this report is a particularly good source and includes a valuation tool you can use to diligence your expected return. It’s a couple years old so a lot of the downside risks have been quelled but still a useful read:

Excellent read. Thanks for the link

One of the most astonishing things to have changed is that Verizon is now not only unopposed to AST, but actually prepaid + invested $100m and is even lobbying against Starlink!

I wish I’d bought more when i first came across it. I’m currently up 220% (down from 280% as of earlier today)

Bought at ipo. then at 6. then again at 3.25. Russian roulette. Now 700% up!

Seemed like the stock was manipulated big time today. Think the hedge money is involved now which makes things a lot harder for retail investors
