Regardless of the exchange, they choose to list, like London, there will be a withholding tax due on any dividends due to the headquarters in Luxembourg.
We had an issue with our clearing and settlements partner for European shares. We added CVC with the understanding they were supporting trading, only to find out that there was a hitch on their side with settlements. Hopefully we can get them to resolve this and get the shares live again.
It’s frustrating to be unable to purchase shares like this in the opening days following IPO. Price likely to increase and all we can do is sit here waiting. What’s the subscription fee for with this kind of error in basic service becoming commonplace?
Apologies. I agree this isn’t an ideal experience. The issue here is with the trading, clearing and settlements providers we use for European shares. At the moment they aren’t supporting trading in CVC despite originally notifying us that they are. We have raised our frustration with this miscommunication and have asked that they enable trading as soon as possible.
When it’s live, we’ll send out a notification to let you know. But at the moment we unfortunately don’t have a timeline.
Just an update we’ve been speaking with our clearing partner and it looks like we should be able to enable trading in the next day or so. We want to do some tests before setting live (and markets were closed today in Europe) so we’ll do this tomorrow and hopefully have this up and running!
