Dormant Company Filings

Hi, I’m wondering if we have any accountents or anyone who knows in here. If a company files dormant continuously but it states they didn’t trade etc but I know they have traded and made profits etc how exactly does that work?

Section 480 and section 476 of the companies act is what they filed.

The company isn’t dormant if they are trading.

This sounds like fraud - to file saying the company is dormant when it is actually trading.

Yes seems a little weird to me

No offence, but are you actually sure what name the company is actually filing under?

The company could be trading as James has a Sausage. This is what you know it as.

There could be a company on Companies House that James set up called ‘James has a Sausage Ltd’ but never used so files dormant accounts for it.

James may have instead decided to trade under a different Ltd company name he set up like ‘Big Sausages Ltd’.

Type the guys name in and see what other companies he is a director of.

Maybe but James who has a massive saussage has filled the year before showing company costs a full statement, bank loans, expences etc, that’s why I ask seems odd

And so #dormantsausagegate was born
