Add an option to place limit orders on stock exchanges (i.e. they’d be added to the order book).
This would eliminate all the issues related to limit orders which are mentioned on several threads.
This would also guarantee that limit orders would be executed at a price at least as good as the limit price.
Another advantage is that normally investors don’t pay the spread for such orders.
This could be added as a premium feature available to standard or plus users.
