These shares are being sold by an angel investor who invested in an earlier investment round. The investor will be listing these shares at the same valuation as the most recent primary fundraise.
Yeah I just received the email as well. Interesting it’s on seedrs
What is considered a “primary fundraise”. Doesn’t sound like a crowdfunding round…
@GMCay I think “primary” would in principle be any funding that results in new cash going to the stock issuer, and new stock being issued, so crowdfunding or VC or IPO. “Secondary”: a shareholder selling their stock - ie cash going to that shareholder but not to Freetrade.
Whether this particular seller bought as a crowdfunder, who knows.
Thanks Rod, that makes sense. I was hoping there was another Series round that we we didn’t know about.
Must a be a fairly big holding to justify a Seedrs listing of this nature I would think.
Doubt it’s anything to worry about, it’s probably someone who got in at R1 or R2 and wants to realise some massive gains. Probably to invest in something else.
It’s not up to Freetrade to name them
It’ll probably be possible to figure out who it is from looking at the confirmation statement once more details come out on Seedrs
Will be interesting to see what share price is achieved.
same price as last round.
"These shares are being sold by an angel investor who invested in an earlier investment round. The investor will be listing these shares at the same valuation as the most recent primary fundraise. […]
These shares are exclusively available to HNW and Sophisticated investors on the Seedrs Private Deal Room."
Currently two threads on this:
@Freetrade_Team can these be merged please.
interesting
That’s a positive thing - many people who didn’t manage to invest in the Crowdcube round can finally do it. Also, the angel investor can cash in. It’s a win-win. If I invested at R1 or R2, I would sell 30% as well.
Do they come with an NFT?
I’m also looking to sell 5,000-7,500 shares at £9.25 (without seedrs fees).
And sure, I’ll send you an NFT too
I’ve said to Seedrs that I think their promotion of this is misleading. It looks like they are running a crowdfunding, which they cannot do.
We didn’t approve it.
Thanks to an oversubscribed round, we were able to offer liquidity at our last institutional round to all shareholders at the same Series B price. We hope to do the same in future funding rounds.
Yup, it’s now live for anyone wanting to top up at the price of the last raise.
Freetrade have got to be in the process of raising a Series C so sort of surprised Seedrs is running this right now.
