iShares Global Govt Bond UCITS ETF IGLH

This ETF tracks the performance of an index of local currency bonds issued by developed countries. The fund distributes income from the assets it holds.

Anyone in this as a bond holding? I know bonds are out of favour right now…

Not something to jump into for yields in this day and age, but investing into the G7 debt seems to be a global investment over just sticking to say, UK Gilts.

Seems like a relatively new fund as well, so would appreciate thoughts.

Pennies in front of a steamroller springs to mind…

I’m new to investing and looking for appropriate bonds to hold for the long term as part of a diversified portfolio. I have UK gilts and happened upon these. What does your comment mean sorry? :see_no_evil:

The phrase picking up pennies in front of a steamroller is like saying you’re risking getting squashed in return for a few free pennies… In the same way in my opinion the yield / potential return on bonds is very low right now vs the probability and magnitude of potential loss…
