@Vincent There’s a widespread belief GME could potentially surpass 25k per share. Although I would benefit from it to a limited extent, I’m highly doubtful that would occur

Even if this ever happened they would just do a stock spill as but as you mentions I doubt gme would become the world’s first gazillion dollar company

There is some pretty extreme wishful thinking going on in these threads. 
If you think about it, if FT allow a limit order for a fractional share at a high share value like 100K or whatever, then they (or drivewealth whoever holds the rest of the fraction) could be on the hook to buy or sell the rest of the share. so there are some implications with making very high share value orders available. There is a reason BRK A isn’t in the app

To make sure we are all on the same page think the issue discussed was not being able to set a limit order for a whole share above 25k usd.

I think if the share is £25K it won’t let you create a limit order to sell a fraction? that’s the impression I got in the other thread
You are right. In the case you mention the party holding the fraction is exposed to risk. The exposure is limited to < (whole share price) though.
Allowing limit sells with whole shares worth >25k usd solves this with little risk to any counter parties.
Don’t see any urgency in this request anyway. Would love to see the app in France this year instead, lol

Not sure you got my point which is — this investment is HIGH RISK of invested capital loss and that you already made your point. No need to create new accounts on the forum.

The idea has been posted, there’s 50 votes so far, a quick scan under the ideas forum and there’s ~20 other ideas with votes over 50.
Others haven’t expected or demanded their ideas to be rolled out, why is this idea or your vote more important than everyone else ideas that have been posted?
If it’s a quick thing maybe ft will roll it out at some point but I don’t think every new idea should cause all existing work to be halted, do you?

Show me a single one that isn’t older than a year. Most with those numbers date back to 2018/2019. Please don’t attempt to misconstrue numbers with me sir.
Around 20 of these 50 votes are from new accounts created in the past 12-24 hours.
Either way it doesn’t matter as this isn’t pressing and that doesn’t change no matter how much temper tantrum one throws.

Exactly highlighting my point. A lot of that is still on the to do list as FT are in charge of deciding the priority of their apps development and there are more important things that they feel needs their focus first. I’d expect nothing else from any company really.
There’s a load of stuff I (and many others I’m sure) would like to be included in the app, but instead of hammering away at forum threads minute be patient, watch your charts or do whatever else it is that you do.

I voted for this. It would be nice to be able to transact more than 25k in a single trade.
The reason it’s getting criticised is because a bunch of people have jumped on the forum from nowhere, only ever posted on this single topic, and insist it prioritised because GME is going to hit $25k a share.

Exactly it’s nice to have. I’ve been patiently waiting for the £9,900 limit to be lifted (PTM Levi) on UK stocks for 18 months now.

People want everything without being patient, “I want to be a millionaire by Friday”, “I want my idea rolled out tomorrow”.
