SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 High Dividend ETF - SPYD

The SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 High Dividend ETF tracks an index of the 80 highest-yielding stocks selected from the S&P 500. Stocks are equally weighted.

Any reason you want these in the Freetrade universe? You’ve posted a few request but I know nothing about them. Why do you think people should invest in any of these?

To what extent do you think this ETF complements (or not) the existing distributing S&P 500 ETFs already on Freetrade? The currency risk exists in both scenarios.

If we compare SPY and SPYD they are different
SPY ETF is market-cap-weighted index conditions (market-cap only)
SPYD ETF is dividend equival weighetd index conditioons (dividend yeld only)
Currency risks by long-tern investment are irrelevant if you use DCA.

SPYD is a USD denominated ETF hence cannot be offered in the UK. Maybe £USDV could be a close alternative? It is also the S&P based high dividend yield ETF.
