Oh dear!

You know, there are times when I really don’t understand the internet. This was in response to the official company post. Weird behaviour.

Sadly, I think we live in a world, especially online, where these is too much hate, envy and misunderstanding amongst alot of people.

I personally think its disgraceful a poor man has lost his life and people should have more respect.

I just think its a shame we have so many people that obviously don’t have any sense of decency.

Clearly you lot don’t understand just how much Americans hate healthcare insurers.
Not always justifiable. But…

UnitedHealthcare is the worst insurance company for paying claims with about one-third of claims denied. Kaiser Permanente is the best large health insurance company for paying claims, denying only 7% of medical bills.

That maybe true but like it or not thats how some businesses run and make money, regardless of if its right or wrong (which is wrong in my view) that still does not justify killing someone and for people to put up a disgusting poll on x.com about haw glad they are he is dead.

There is no Justification for it at all in a civilised democracy at the end of the day.

Umm. I do wonder if you share the same sentiment if you had lost a loved one due to the greed of this disgusing industry. CEO wasnt without controversy either.

I am not saying that the industry is not disgusting everyone knows it is which is why I would never invest in them.

But killing someone and putting up a poll is way to far no matter if you like him or not.

That maybe why he is not with us anymore?

A bit more information

I don’t think envy has anything to do with it.

The guy was the literal figurehead of a company that denies lifesaving treatement to thousands upon thousands of Americans - such is the job of an insurance company, to reduce claims and increase profits. It’s a reason I don’t invest in private healthcare, I believe those profit margins belong back on a cancer ward (etc) and not in my pocket.

I imagine there are many people in the USA who have witnessed a loved one needlessly, slowly and painfully wasting away in front of their eyes leaving behind children, family, friends etc because of the decisions of the insurance companies that run the US healthcare system.

Equally, there’s no place for that kind of system, or murders like this or ongoing mass school shootings in a civilised society.

The descriptors I used wasn’t particularly for this incident really, but more just in general to Neils comment about sometimes not understanding peoples reactions on the internet…should have clarified that.

I don’t know anything about the CEO or why this occurred and aren’t exactly a fan of how insurance companies conduct themselves either. General public becoming judge, jury and executioner obviously shouldn’t happen though. It will be interesting to hear the motive when it no doubt comes out.
