21 stocks that could tank if Labour win an election (CityAM)

I read your comment perfectly well. I just don’t agree with it.

After localising NHS budget to to Doctors, it’s now more difficult then ever to be approved for elective surgery.

The NHS is a joke i believe. The organisation is shocking just due to the stress and lack of filled professions. I was born with a cleft lip and have had treatments for it since i was 3m/o , recently budget got cut and my doctor had to come back to Wales from moving to Scotland to request further funding and fulfil operations over the end of the year, which is years later than arranged previously.
Whereas i have also seen in the NHS, (this is mainly Dental) but Privatised, owner & dentists all with Porsches, Audis and yet what is happening on the form when being handed in? False treatment being done so they get the ‘funding’ or just big cheque in reality from the NHS.
So there could literally be millions in fraud happening they don’t even know about, and my last point i’d like to mention is the waste on Drugs when most of it isn’t needed if there are proper doctors giving actionable advice not “Oh you got this wrong, yeah this should help” They’ve literally been trained by BigPharma fgs.

Rant over lol, haven’t posted for a while so there’s the back up of everything in me :joy:

It’s not dead in 12 years, it’s trying to stay within 1.5C rise & not hitting a tipping point of irreversible climate heating.

It’s easy to dismiss as heresy if you’ve interpreted it as “dead in 12 years”, read the science, not the newspaper’s sensationalism.

Actually I find it comes more from the people than newspaper sensationalism. Question for you
is now the absolute optimal temperature that the earth ever was or will be?

Given we’ve got less nutritious vegetables, coral reef bleaching and copious wild fires - it doesn’t seem optimal.

I don’t think optimal is what is begin highlighted, optimal is subjective, optimal for producing wine in the UK? It could be warmer, optimal for living in Pakistan? It’s too hot already. It’s the rate of change that is the concern. Species can’t adapt that fast, including us and we’re not preparing for it.

Surely nationalisation would boost the share price of utilities etc. as the government will have to offer a premium to the shareholders to buy them out?

Iirc Corbyn/McDonnell are planning to swap value for gilts.

No such thing as optimal. The temperature and climate has always and will always vary - if you don’t understand that then you are misunderstanding what scientists are telling you. The issue is whether human activities are disturbing that equilibrium - hint: scientific opinion is overwhelming in its answer that we are (but hey you know better than all the evidence).

I’m merely asking if you think it’s getting too hot is a colder climate better for the world (in your opinion). Would you prefer a 1.5c drop in the other direction. No one is disagreeing with the changing of climate and temp. Relax

The proposed nationalisation plans from Labour are to offer shareholders compensation that is below the current market value of the shares. Labour have argued that there is a need to account for state subsidies, pension deficits and asset stripping, which justifies a lower rate of compensation.
