Good positive article that Chris! Do you feel this has bottomed out at the 4p mark ? It has been more green in the last month or so

I doubt it, a mini shot in the arm for the share price and perhaps a chance for traders to earn a few quid this PM.

But the outlook in general is fairly rosy, thanks entirely to Liberation Labs getting the factory fully funded with a chance of a US DoD $100m grant in the back pocket.

Meatly is a great story also and likely more to come there now they are off and running. And Formo are in increasing number of supermarkets. It is happening and if you are watching ANIC it is like watching the dawn of the motor car or steel pen - many hate it but they all make their money off feathers and horses.

Personally, Im at about 8p and am happy about the share price depression. If i can average down to 4p by the time Liberation Labs goes online I will be happy to hold 15 years (im nearly in year 4 of 20). For that reason i like the bad news stories coming from the US. For the speed I am able to add, the fewer people who dig into this one the better. There is literally nothing like ANIC on any exchange and progress for the portfolio companies (most need raises) is a treat. Similar but nowhere near as diverse are CULT (Canada) or BSFA (ftse). Also SMT have a slither in Upside.

Thanks pal, I always read with interest you info on here. I only have a small holding in the 7s but like you will average down an leave in the bottom drawer so to speak.

Interesting to see some young pretenders coming through in the future foot tech conference. The main stage of course, is reserved for ANIC portfolio companies

Supremely interesting to see the contrast in these two articles. America definitely are not gonna be first in the food tech race

Unless of course Canada becomes the 51st/2nd state

A plot twist in the story of the pork farmer (& gov. of Nebraska) who is about to ban lab meat. It would seem he is getting push back from some cattle ranchers defending the free market.

A very helpful article/update on Liberation Labs timeline for Indiana factory and beyond. It is still planned to be operational this year and at 100% capacity early next year. Also interesting is that a second factory, four times bigger is already in the pipeline and has a timeline of three years. Not surprising about the second factory but early noise about scale is encouraging. But to be honest given that Liberation Labs is over 20% of the ANIC portfolio it is somewhat of a gargantuous relief that the Indiana factory is now funded.

Tide turning here Chris? Really good last month!

It would be something close to magical (for shareholders), to answer definitively in the affirmative.

But then, short term… no companies in the portfolio are singing with revenue and most need lots of cash (even nearly all of the best ones). Also there will be a number of new shareholders who bought in at 2p who will be looking at the portfolio asking the revenue question and may pull the trigger. But who can blame them.

Long term of course, ANIC has no peer and Liberation Labs is fully funded. But then Im now in year four of 20, so Im (at the moment) happy (well not happy) to ride the rollercoaster.

Bit of a drop in the ocean but a nice iniative as UK gov chuck £110m into agritech

See the results out today Chris. Still a decent discount available on these!

Yeah, no surprises on the results, the news of share discount has been reported regularly.

There remains in equal measure jeopardy and potential in the share price. Mildly worrying news about the removal of GRAS (generally recognised as safe) by RFK jnr. Aside from the obvious concerns about the health secretary’s ability to do one and put into policy to the opposite (e.g. vaccine), it was to expected with the Trump admin. It will be interesting to see if GRAS is removed how it will affect ANIC companies that have the certification, and especially how it will affect Liberation Labs pipeline (currently touted as 200% full).

Less surprising is that Mississippi has banned lab meat. The US continues to check out of the food tech race which with the impact of tariffs on the farming industry both makes sense and gives a bit of hope to the UK, EU, Asia and Australia on picking up companies and IP. In five years time if companies like Meatly and CellX have their factories up and running, the food tech race the UK will surprisingly be in an enviable position in terms of owning technology race - it remains a big if though at the moment.

Here is some news on GRAS that may well negatively affect cell. ag. companies

And here is some news that looks good but could be inversely affected by the above if RFK jnr remains in post

Meatable’s chief is on the campaign trail at the moment and will be speaking at a food tech conference this year

And here an article on how Meatable want to build through collaboration (which is currently the only way lab meat could be used at scale)

And a very interesting interview with Tripician on Future of Foods podcast

Liberation Labs secure strategic investment from NEOM. Plans afoot for a second factory in Saudi Arabia (before the first is built!)
