Have purchased a small amount into an ISA. Just realised though that I’ll be paying tax on the dividend’s in the US.
Not sure on whether this is therefore a mistake.
I’m guessing this is dependent on my UK tax bracket.
I believe USA dividend tax is 22% and I’ll pay this no matter what.
The uk has a dividend allowance of £2000
So if I haven’t used my allowance there’s no point in having the stock in my Isa (for dividend, but may be useful for growth)
If I have used my allowance then it makes sense to be in my isa
