Allow users to change PIN/security timeout

Downvote security for all apps.

Nat West banking app

Not the security itself, obviously nothing wrong with that. I’m talking about the over-the-top-‘ness’ of it all. Common sense is not applied and it’s assumed that the user themselves should bear absolutely no responsibility for their own ignorance. Having to enter a pin every time you switch between apps or perform an action is utterly unnecessary and just annoying to those that aren’t stupid enough to leave their phone unattended and unlocked with easy access to all their finances.

All of this. Agreed wholeheartedly.

An easy to understand popup dialogue during installation might help solve this:

  • Please tick the yes/no box if you ignorant or not about mobile 'phone security: Yes gimme control, No and please nanny me.

Fully agree. That would be a big improvement.

With banking should there be an error or security breach it’s relatively easy to resolve/reclaim the money.

If you accidentally buy £20,000 of GME or someone else does on your behalf within 20 seconds of you putting your phone down and then due to its volatility it’s £17,000, who covers the £3k lost? Or if it was £23,000 who would keep the £3k?

Security is never an issue/priority until it’s too late.

Barclays HSBC and Virgin money give me at least 60 seconds, with HSBC up to at least three mins.

You described an impossible event. This is not the topic of discussion.

PIN is required for every transaction.

Has anyone noticed they can’t use finger print unlock with FT I’m sure I used to then it dissapeared?

I don’t have FaceID. Phew.
