$10 to buy the dip
All these you tubers milking the click bait with and
emojis
I would love to know how much money has been made by people just from the promotion of the meme stocks. It must be astronomical
- you see what I did there
Iāve said it before and Iāll say it again: most of these youtube channels make their money from their videos, not from investing. Most of them donāt do proper analysis. I just looked up Andrei Jikh again and now he is selling bitcoin. That tells you all you should know about these grifters.
YouTube paying them good!
Same with most promoters, they donāt actually back there views just want that sweet click bait money
Or the ones who use the money to imply their investments pay off when normal people donāt have that option. Personally, the last thing I would ever do is follow a you-tube channel for advice on anything that involves money.
You can get the same advice from people without it being on a monetized platform It is like the people on the conspiracy documentaries on discovery that all have book deals etc so will say any random crap as it ends with $ in their pockets at the expense of others.
Back in my day (lmao which was not that long ago) weād call these types of people āselloutsā or ātowniesā⦠the type that pose to what the majority always do.
One minute these specific youtubers like Andrei & Grayham are pushing out valuable insights into interesting financial aspects, THEN suddenly their dreamy plan comes true and they milk the opportunity for all its worth out of absolute greed. They immediately sellout. Thatās what a sellout is.
They hide what they really want and pose as trustworthy nice people then absolute milk the first thing they get and never look back because now they are suddenly rich. Itās a gross trait but you can spot them a mile off.
Look at these videos now, not exactly anything more than sellout entertainment to rinse ad revenue. Thatās what happens when you support posers.
A notice to all gen z out there copying what these people say, remember, they are sellouts, they profit off of your time and your attention. They end up rich and you end up broke. This is not a movement.
P.S. I hope you guys profit like a beast on amc, as of right now Iād say 99% of the youtubers are full of fomo sh1t so finding that 1% is tough.
I loved the story of the influencer who got famous promoting ātax the richā and pro AOC/Bernie and now posting videos of her palace of a apartment with āeast wingsā and all
Good luck to them TBH but only fools believe we all get to be like this as for every 1 success we donāt hear about the thousands who fail.
To be fair, Graham Stefan generally makes no attempt to hide the fact that his channel is mostly about entertainment, but then slips in reminders of the fundamentals so that people who are there for the entertainment donāt get caught up in all the hype about the latest meme du jour.
Heās also very upfront about how much money he makes from youtube and his motivations.
You would be amazed at how many people miss that as it goes over their head as they are hooked on the Big word banners and claims. I would say for legal reasons they say X,Y and Z but most ignore that and just think it is gospel. At least the people who end up down on it do.
The irony of folks telling people to ignore youtubers whilst other folks are giving/asking for advice on this thread is high!
Not really One source of advice people make money from the other people donāt. Who would you trust more? People who are incentivised to promote extremes or people who have no gains from advice?
Seems like two very different options to me. I value the FT community leagues above randoms on you-tube personally. I wouldnāt listen to my advice but others around here are great.
Yes but heās also playing the ātell the truth to hide the truthā game. āAppear to be totally honest whilst becoming filthy rich in front of your eyesā. Itās very cheeky. As long as people have time to waste, they will monetise you.
Morning guys. I wasnāt gonna join the chat but you seem a friendly bunch and all the talk of Currys drew me in
2nd time on the stock market for meā¦had a few £££ in Sirius minerals previously.
I bought in yesterday @ $38.88 with £300
Not sure at what point Iāll bail out yet. Iām contemplating selling at opening and re buying in a dip later today just to increase my shares, currently at 10.8
A tone got a target they hope to reach before the sell?
Wow, havenāt heard townie in AGES.
Thought it was just a northern derogatory term
I see a lot of folk on chats saying they are expecting $1,000 per share value for AMC.
With a float of 448,000,000 shares in total a $1,000 a share would place the company at a $448,000,000,000 valuation. Thatās $448 billion which I think would put it in the top 20 for highest companies valuations globally.
This has to be bonkers right? Do people really believe these valuations? I guess some doā¦
Indeed. Youtubers like Graham make money from their videos, nobody here on the forum makes money. So I am more trusting of people here. And while there will be pushers and bashers, they donāt have enough influence to shake up the market.
@Bendyc Welcome to our lovely communityā¦
After some buying and selling over the past 2 days my remaining 1.5 shares in AMC sits at $43 a share. Iām going to watch closely how the market moves today, look for a strong dip and then buy some more. Iāll then assess value over the rest of the trading period and if up on the deal will sell before market closes tonight. I wont be there till the end as I am out tonight with my wife for a curry.
Man if you continue eating only curry youāll use you earnings in medical bills!
Iām just glad youāve gone for a more sensible option in your second venture into the market
