AMC Entertainment - AMC - Share Chat

I think the addition of an ‘Ignore’ button would be useful on the Forums.

Amc is not a traditional investment but it cannot be considered a traditional bet as well. Is perfectly in the middle. If you keep the classic explanation of what both are:

In an invesent you gain or lose money on a long term with no fixed earning, following the market prices. If the price is going down you are not losing all the money you put in but just a percentage.

In a bet you put a fixed amount of money for a specific earning. If you win, you win that amount and if you lose you say goodbye to all your money immediately.

AMC investments are different for both. Is not following the market rules so is different from an investment but is following the other rules that are opposite to a normal bet (of course I’m talking about legal bets like on sport events).

Lol can you tell me the lottery numbers please, cause you seem to have a magic crystal ball.

Amc is trending big again since the CNBC show talked about illegal naked short selling on amc. Was trending on twitter big yesterday.

I’m looking forward to next week.

So many shill posters in here. Same people who were talking down on amc when it was at $9-11 range.

Hilarious.

Who was talking it down at $9? If you make the claims then back it up :+1:

The price prediction range in this discussion is $3-$100k, I have a feeling most of the people are going to get it wrong :joy:

Happy Sunday. Are we holding?

With the current low pre-market I don’t see a good reason to sell. If people will buy right after Monday opening we can hope in a good start of the week!

Do you really believe that US hedge funds have shills posting on here? they probably don’t even know this forum exists. Most of the people who are skeptical have been on here since long before this GME/AMC short squeeze was a thing

I’m holding this, cause I believe in now like I believed in it when I bought it at $8.

It’s been a rocky ride; yes. Contantly having spanners thrown in the way; yes

But if this explodes again. Game over for hedge funds. Who knows how high this price can go.

Melissa Lee the CNBC reporter mentioning naked short selling is the trending key for amc leading into next week.

What if it doesn’t explode though? And it just stays where it is or drops, which seems the more likely scenario

Honestly, keeping separate hope and reality? I see the more likely scenario to be a stable price, maybe a small peak on Monday due to a low opening but I’m not expecting anything over $55 (if we are lucky) . Eventually it will go down to the real price, no one can doubt about that.
I’m playing with this idea.

Come off it - any evidence for shill posters? There’s a massive difference between shill posting and people posting something you disagree with…

The investor badge is purely a sign that I have some shares in FT. Nothing more nor less.

More to the point I knew exactly what I was investing in and the risks associated.

What is clear from some of the posts on here is that some people aren’t fully aware of the risks of putting money into AMC shares. Whether we call it gambling or very risky investing I’m not sure makes any difference. Particularly if people lose money and think that this is “normal” for investing.

Downplaying the risks does no one any favours.

I don’t disagree when put like that, apologies. I liken it to buying shares on IPO day.

To be honest I don’t think anyone putting a few quid into AMC isn’t aware of the small chance of losing it all. FOMO’ing in £50-200 say and learning as you go isn’t really the worst play here. Anyone putting more than a few quid in should have some reasoning behind it you would assume.

:joy: :joy: :+1: Coinbase IPO is my worst investment by a mile! The charts on FT don’t even show the history go as high as what I bought in at :man_facepalming:

@Debz Make sure you choose a price to sell at rather than commit to holding. It 99% won’t go ‘to the moon’, so don’t lose all your money in the hope that it will. Unless you can afford to lose it all

Have a read through Argo thread. Be worth having a read up on Crypto too as they’re inextricably tied
