Ive just done the same. Sold my ISA shares for £1.23. About a £24 loss. The GIA ones are a different story

Id take the £24 loss all day and I’d even take that other loss there! I decided to just get rid in the end, I’m waiting for a message from the other 2 cannabis stocks tbh

@acamp @Freetrade_Team Please can you provide some clarity on what happens if we dont sell this stock? Can the shares be tranferred to me rather than you continue to hold as the nominee?

Hi @Rcllondon ,

I’ve checked with our team internally and will update you as soon as I receive a response. Thank you!

How hard can it possibly be to turn a profit when nature created the drug for you?

Hi @Rcllondon ,

The team has replied:

The stock is going to be delisted from LSE on 31 December 2024, which Freetrade will not be able to support anymore. Therefore, the last trading date is 30 December 2024.

Customer can:

  1. Sell their shares
  2. Continue to hold their shares but the shares will not be tradable since 31 December 2024. The company might announce something to exchange BUT it was not guaranteed. Or they might be due nothing.

All the best,
Kandi

How do we do this?

The delisting will lead to changes for holders of the company’s Depositary Interests (DIs). Although the DIs will no longer be tradable on the LSE, they can still be settled through the CREST system. Shareholders may need to transfer their DIs to the Clearing House Electronic Sub-register System (CHESS) to facilitate trade settlements on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX).

Argent BioPharma has stated that DI holders will receive separate communication regarding the potential future termination of the Depositary Interest facility. Shareholders wishing to trade on the ASX must withdraw their DIs from CREST and reposition them to CHESS. The company has assured that the process for this transfer remains unchanged despite the delisting.

The company’s board of directors has authorized the release of this information. Shareholders with additional questions concerning the trading of their shares post-delisting are advised to consult their investment adviser or broker for guidance.

This news comes as the company prepares for its final day of trading on the LSE, which is also scheduled for Tuesday, December 31, 2024. The transition is part of Argent BioPharma’s strategic changes within its operations and market presence.

Any shareholder with questions regarding the Delisting is encouraged to consult their investment adviser or broker. The Company will provide an update to holders of its Depositary Interests, outlining how their holdings will be affected and the steps required to ensure the future tradability of their securities.

I’ve forwarded this thread and your reply to our corporate action team. And I will post their reply here once I hear back.

Thank you!

Thank you

Hi @Rcllondon ,

The team will need to look further into the case.

In the meantime, they got back with some usual practice. We would typically get a certificate for these cases as we don’t have access to AUS exchange.

Thanks!

All the best,
Kandi
