Looking at holding a subset of my ISA for investing in up to x5 long term buy and hold investments for the kids. Not a huge amount, prob £100 a month is all I could afford. At the moment I’m thinking of:-
Alibaba
Square
Invitae
Roku
Tesla
Any alternative suggestions? Would love Sea Ltd, but believe it can’t be invested in an ISA
I’m aware this forum is not for advice but if you are investing £100 a month I would suggest you move away from individual companies and just buy ETFs which track whole indexes. Stock picking requires time and attention. Companies which are successful now (i.e. Apple) could go the way of other success stories which were judged, at the time, to be good long-term holds (i.e. Xerox).
If you aren’t going to re-evaluate each company thoroughly every 6 months to a year then ETFs are far superior for long-term holds.
